OTE, Opportunities Through English

Partners & Network

Better ideas rarely come from one perspective.

OTE starts with a simple belief: useful opportunities are often created when the right people, experience and organisations come together.

No individual — and no organisation — has all the answers.

That’s why OTE is being built around a growing network of people and organisations with different experience, expertise and perspectives.

The aim isn’t to build the biggest network.
It’s to build a useful one.

Who might be part of it?

English-language and education specialists

Employers and business leaders

Universities and education providers

English-learning and technology companies

NGOs and public-sector organisations

International education and development specialists

Researchers, advisers and other independent professionals

People with relevant local or sector knowledge

Not everyone needs to become an OTE “partner”.

Sometimes the value may simply be knowing who has the right experience for a particular question or opportunity.

How we might work together

Contributing expertise

Bringing specialist knowledge or an additional perspective to a particular project or question.

Creating connections

Introducing organisations or people where there is a genuine reason for them to talk.

Developing opportunities

Exploring ideas, partnerships or projects where different organisations can bring complementary capabilities.

Sharing perspectives

Contributing to OTE Perspectives, Practical Guides, Conversations or other useful content.

A useful connection should have a reason.

OTE isn’t interested in collecting contacts simply to make the network look bigger.

The starting point is whether someone brings relevant experience, expertise, perspective, reach or opportunity — and whether there is genuine value in connecting them with somebody else.

Sometimes it may lead to a project or commercial relationship. Sometimes the value may simply be in making the right connection.

The important thing is that there is a reason for it.

Potential partner, contributor or collaborator?

OTE is interested in hearing from people and organisations where there may be a specific reason to work together.

You might bring relevant expertise to a project, represent an organisation interested in collaboration, have a potential opportunity to explore, or be able to contribute specialist knowledge or experience.

If you can see a specific connection with what OTE is doing, tell us a little about it and why you think it could be useful.
